Rom. 16:17 - Now I exhort you, brothers, to mark those who make divisions and causes of stumbling contrary to the teaching which you have learned, and turn away from them.

2 Tim. 2:25 - In meekness correcting those who oppose, if perhaps God may give them repentance unto the full knowledge of the truth.

Note 103 - False Accusations Made Against Elders and Co-workers

See the following notes:

  • Note 33 - Rivalry in the work and opposition to the churches, ministry, and work in the Lord's recovery (particularly the section entitled " Disseminating Poisonous Writings")
  • Note 93 - False Accusations Made Against Brothers
  • Note 96 - False Accusations Made Against the Co-workers

On October 28, 2007, Brother Dong and his co-workers had a time of fellowship in preparation for a trip to Taiwan that some of his co-workers were to take in the following few days. A recording of that fellowship was posted on the site used to disseminate Brother Dong's spoken messages. It has since been removed. The contents of that audio are shocking. Brother Dong and his co-workers spoke of some of the leading co-workers in the Lord's recovery in a caustic tone unbefitting of servants of our Lord.

Ezra Ma, Meeting of Dong Yu Lan and his co-workers, São Paulo, Brazil, October 28, 2007:

James Lee is the main brother who is causing problems there to Cesar ... in Boston.

Ezra's statement is not true. While James Lee has had a long history of caring for the churches in the Boston area, it is the churches themselves that raised concerns about the divisive work Cezar Menegucci was doing in New England. In a letter dated October 25, 2007, ten brothers from Boston and Cambridge reported that:

On June 16, 2007, leading brothers from New England and the Mid-Atlantic states gathered in Franklin Park, New Jersey, for fellowship. The leading brothers from Cambridge and Boston shared the facts concerning the independent work and meetings taking place in Boston. During that meeting the leading brothers and the co-workers agreed that the work and the meetings established independently of the fellowship of the churches should not continue and that the saints participating in those meetings should be recovered back to the fellowship of the Body.

The brothers from Boston and Cambridge later became aware of an e-mail Cezar had written to Pedro Dong and Helcio Almeida on May 31, 2007. These brothers then wrote to Cezar on October 25, 2007, expressing their concern over:

(1) Cezar's connection as a worker to Brother Dong's ministry and work.

(2) His definite hidden agenda for being in Boston and the USA.

(3) What he had said was an informal gathering, held at the same time as the Memorial Weekend Conference in St. Paul, was in fact a conference held in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

(4) Their work to raise up, without our knowledge, separate churches following a different ministry.

(5) Their plan to have separate trainings and conferences in Boston and Florida.

(6) Their attacks on the practice of the churches in the Lord's recovery and in particular in the USA as being "synagogues." That email proved that there is a different work, with a different teaching, and a different vision being carried out in our midst under the cloak of being part of the Lord's recovery.

They concluded their report by saying:

We then wrote a serious letter to Cezar asking him to explain all the issues in his email, stop his action to raise up churches apart from fellowship and coordination in the Body, and bring himself and all of the saints into the fellowship of the Body. This was delivered to him on September 1, 2007, during the Labor day conference. Unfortunately, his response has been self-vindication and more accusations against brothers taking the lead in the churches.

All of these actions were taken by local brothers, not James Lee.

Dong Yu Lan, Meeting of Dong Yu Lan and his co-workers, São Paulo, Brazil, October 28, 2007:

The responsibility for the division in Chile will fall upon Albert Lim.

Brother Dong's accusation against Albert Lim is false. The churches in southern Chile by their own testimony realized from the Spanish language publications of Brother Lee's ministry that Brother Dong had deviated from the way of the Lord's recovery:

[I]n recent years, through reading the Spanish-language literature available on the Internet, especially "Holy Word for Morning Revival" and the video trainings, we realized that Dong Yu Lan's teaching and work were now quite different from the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. (Statement from the churches in southern Chile, October 31, 2007)

The divisions caused in Chile were the direct result of Brother Dong's " Orientations." At his directive, those who wanted to follow his ministry established second table meetings in many cities in southern Chile (see notes 121, 126, and 131).

Dong Yu Lan, Meeting of Dong Yu Lan and his co-workers, São Paulo, Brazil, October 28, 2007:

If we have opportunity, we should say to Ron Kangas, in a sarcastic way, "Thank you for coming to South America to work. Thank the Lord, you are just like a piece of rotten meat; all the flies [i.e., those who do not follow Dong Yu Lan] are drawn to you. We are very grateful."

Pedro Dong , Meeting of Dong Yu Lan and his co-workers, São Paulo, Brazil, October 28, 2007:

Especially Andrew Yu, he is prejudiced against Brother Dong. That Andrew Yu, wow, he is a politician—Chinese.
