Rom. 16:17 - Now I exhort you, brothers, to mark those who make divisions and causes of stumbling contrary to the teaching which you have learned, and turn away from them.

2 Tim. 2:25 - In meekness correcting those who oppose, if perhaps God may give them repentance unto the full knowledge of the truth.

Note 127 - Overturning the Local Leadership

Pedro Dong, Salomon Ma, and Helcio Almeida, " Letter Sent by Brother Dong Yu Lan," December 13, 2004:

  1. Some brothers from Ambato—Rodrigo López, Fernando, Mendieta and Waldemar Quintero—with influence from abroad disregard all that the spirit has accomplished in these years and propagate death saying that they have the freedom to receive other ministries, thus rejecting and disregarding God's delegated authority, the one who has cared for the region as a Father.
  2. Brother Dong annuls the action that these brothers made in the name of the church in Ambato. They personally have the freedom to do what they think is right, but not in the name of the church. The brothers who are clear and pure regarding this matter should remain firm on the ground of the church and in the leading of the Spirit, continuing in oneness with the rest of the country's churches.

Letter from Valdemar Quintero, Rodrigo López, Luis Chango, and Rodrigo Escudero, October 24, 2007:

In two churches, saints were excommunicated because they did not follow Brother Dong's "orientation." In 2004 a group of eighty brothers from the church in Milagro were excommunicated because they came to the conference in Ambato, in which Sterling Byassee and Eric Romero shared. In that same year, the saints of the church in Guayaquil were told that all those who are not one with the apostle's orientation have to leave the meeting hall.

In 2003 Brothers Valdemar Quintero and Rodrigo López were removed from the work and prohibited from visiting the churches because they expressed their desire for Brother Benson Phillips to come to share in a conference in Ecuador. In that same conference [in Bogotá in 2003], Valdemar Quintero and Rodrigo López had fellowship with Brother Dong, in which he said that if it wasn't for Jorge Navas (Brother Dong's co-worker in Ecuador), we would want to do what Argentina and Bolivia do—receive the brothers from the United States.

Invitation to all the churches in the Lord's recovery to the resumption of the Lord's table in Milagro, Ecuador, October 2007:

More than two years have passed since the brothers in Milagro closed the doors to us for attending the conference in Ambato, accusing us of being divisive and sectarian ones. Since then we have sought fellowship with them on at least three occasions with the unique purpose of keeping the oneness of the Body on the genuine ground of the church.

A letter from the church in Ambato, Ecuador, to all the co-workers and churches in the Lord's recovery, December 2004:

All these facts bring out a great question: When brothers Rodrigo López and Waldemar Quintero were expelled from the service for expressing the desire to blend with the brothers from North America, brothers Fernando Mendieta and Guillermo Padilla were established as responsible brothers in the locality; then, why is there now the intention to expel these two brothers and a proposal made to make brother Rodrigo Lopez a coworker of brother Dong?
